R&D:
Interisland Terminal Parts The Veil
On Their Big New Project

R&D Indiegogo from Interisland Terminal on Vimeo.

This. Is. BIG.

I've been following the exhibitions and pop-up stores and competitions of Interisland Terminal since their inception, but this, this project, is truly one of those "A-HA" moments.

I'm sure that nearly everyone has transformed a coffee shop or a restaurant into a makeshift workshop, with mixed, and often logistically problematic, results.

Fear not. Interisland Terminal's new space, R&D, slated to open this summmer in Kakaako, is aiming to give us that space—that ideal space—that we've all been searching for. Gone are the days of huddling six people to one table at your local Starbucks, where there's one power outlet in your area with thirty other people vying to connect. Say goodbye to fleshing out ideas over fettuccine and free focaccia, where mock ups and drawings spill over into neighboring tables, where the waiter, rightly so, has already left the check and halted water refills.

Yes, there will be coffee (essential), a curated selection of books (inspiring), and other creative accoutrement to help get your mind geared up. Call it a brick-and-mortar for brainstorming.

Although it looks like they're well on their way to approaching their goal, help get them to 7,500, or even 10G's! The more money they have, the better equipped the space will be for you. For as little as ten bucks, you can help bring to life a space that Honolulu needs, a space that you need.
